Help Nike turn 2020’s All-Star Weekend into a star-studded community event for kids.
With the help of eight professional athletes – including basketball superstar Scottie Pippin – we turned this infamous US sporting weekend into a lifelong memory for Chicago’s kids.
Across three days, we not only brought Nike’s kids’ channel PLAYlist to life – we recorded an episode live during the experience. Local kids were invited to choose from three styles at the ‘shoe bodega’ before taking part in activations including a whack-a-mole free-shooting game, dribble hopscotch, and ‘60-second hang’. The design was big, bold, bright – and entirely true to Chicagoan culture with even the event’s tagline ‘Extra heart, extra hustle’ leaning into the locality. And, at the end, every kid could pick a ball from our giant claw-machine to take home (with participants on the last day gifted shoes and jerseys).
One of our favourite HATTER events ever, this All-Star Weekend experience brought the magic of basketball home to Chicago in an authentic, fun, and representative way.
